too long...
Yow. ...a couple months since I posted here. I suppose a lot has happened but much of it I wouldn't post about. Banal boring life stuff. My exhibition is still on at the Confederation Centre in Charlottetown PEI which makes it the longest exhibition I have ever done. And its the longest I 've been away from too. So I have to deal with problems from a distance rather than jump on top them and fix them up myself. The tech there has been very good at keeping things going, soldering busted wires, fixing broken robots and installing new work to replace broken older work. So I'm feeling a lot better about it than I did earlier in the show.
In the Blink of an Eye is still on at the Winnipeg Art Gallery as well. A lot of people have given my some nice feedback concerning my video. Thanks.
Two weeks ago Trip Dance premiered Herding Instinct at the Gas Staion Theatre. My work on the sound score was really well received so I'm pretty happy to have been working on that. What a great group of people.
Awhile ago I did a video installation at a fundraiser evend held at Gios. It went so well I was invited to do another. So recently I put together a new work, Fire, Flesh and Ice, and installed it at the 'Leather and Fetish Night' held at GIOs. It's a video projected on a 300 lb block of crystal clear ice suspended by chains from the ceiling. There were lots of problems to solve through out the pre and production period. Which made it more fun. Thanks to the event committee for letting me run with my idea. It was really successful.
The next couple of months has me planning a roadtrip across Western Canada to exhibit some work in Vancouver and then hustling back to Central Ontario to participate in a festival there. Prep right now includes van repairs, prepping the van as a mobile studio and home and making sure I have the budget to pull all this off. More on that soon.
