Boreal version: Sun Suckers

It's almost time to head out to Ontario to install this new work. There's just a bit of sound composition with the micro-controller programing to be done this week. Then prep the van, load up and roll!

Freshly glued waiting for the bases to be done.

Test set up in the lot at Atomic.

Close up of speaker assembly.

in the studio; Gregory's Sunsuckers: Boreal version

I'm remodeling my sound installation Gregory's Sun Suckers for an outdoor exhibition at the Tree Museum near Gravenhurst Ontario. I'm in production mode making multiples of all the parts. Here's the previous post with more pictures.

Lick My LEDs!

That's the name of my new installation which I am preparing for the Durham Art Gallery in Ontario. The Common Pulse Media Arts Festival will be the weekend of June 10-12. I'll be doing a three week residency as part of the festival. The concept of the project is Candy Computing ver .01. The basic form is Lectric Lollies. I'm combining my recent interest in hard candy making, microcontrollers and electronics. My friend Robert Pasternak is helping out with some cool packaging.
